NHL'S MONTREAL CANADIENS OFFICAL WEBSITE INTERVIEW WITH MARYSE:

Dino Bravo Rick Martel via the Rougeau Brothers, Quebec has since long been a breeding ground for professional wrestling. The torch is now carried by the Laval, Maryse Ouellet, a model become a Diva in WWE, the real star of the ring. In three years, Maryse was one of the stars of Smackdown to start, then RAW, alongside regular John Cena, Triple H and the big boss himself, Vince McMahon. We met the party of the Habs always to know the real architects of this sports entertainment. The NHL players often speak of the weight of a 82-game schedule, but it is certainly nothing compared to the blows of chair and flexibilities to the rigors of life on the road to the WWE, is not it? Maryse Ouellet: We are moving 280 days a year, so it's like 280 hockey games a year. (Laughs) Honestly, their matches last a few hours, while on average a wrestling match lasts only 10 to 15 minutes. You were born in the Montreal area and you lived in New Brunswick before returning to Quebec. When did you become a Habs fan? MO: I was born and raised in Laval and my first memory of the Canadians was the rivalry with the Nordiques and their confrontation during the 1993 playoffs. I was at primary school at the time, but I remember everyone was mad about the Canadians. Maryse still has his jersey Patrick Roy How much rest time you take advantage of it every year? When you take off, is there a place in Montreal where you like to go? MO: Not really. It's hard for me because I always went to the sea a few weeks each year, but since I was with WWE, these trips are a thing of the past. By cons, we have to move in exotic location so I'm doing not too bad. Who was your favorite player the Habs when you were younger? MO: I still have my sweater Patrick Roy of my youth , then there will always be my favorite. You have the name "Guy" tattooed on your left wrist. Is Guy Lafleur had a great influence on your life? MO: My apologies to Guy Lafleur, but for my father, hence the tattoo! (Laughs) As so often on the road, how do you follow the activities of the Canadians? MO: Canadians are hard to follow the U.S. since I live in Los Angeles and I travel constantly. I hear from my friends and family about the team performance and I always try to go at the Bell Centre when I go to town. I see crowds every night in my profession, but nothing compares to those of Montreal. Do you ever happen to not be sore after Thee rebuffed the ring? MO: (laughs) Fortunately, I do not fight often. I'm more a fautrice of trouble, but when you gotta go, I still feel after. Maryse the action in the ring You were a model before you join the WWE. What led you to a career in the fight? MO: In the summer of 2005, I went to RAW at the Bell Centre with friends and got hooked. I always knew I would work on television or in the entertainment world. While in 2006 I did not speak English yet, I was determined to work in the WWE so I did audition. My friends still can not believe I was chosen from 20,000 girls who were being tested to become a WWE Diva. which side you at the "Montreal Screwjob" occurred at Survivor Series 1997: Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels? MO: I was not following the fight at the time, I was a little too young. I know that people still talk about today is the first thing that the audience we cry when the WWE comes to Montreal. What leaves a bigger mark on your eyes: a hit in NHL or your finishing maneuver, the "French Kiss"? MO: (laughs) I honestly believe the two are as much damage. Hockey players can be pressed hard enough, but we must never forget that face is the first part of the body hitting the mat after a "French Kiss". You be the judge! Vince McMahon is very intimidating in person as Maryse Who would win in a match in a cage between NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon? MO: I go with Vince. It's pretty dangerous when you meet him in person. It can be really intimidating. You have no idea! (Laughs) In terms of business, where the NHL could it emulate the WWE? MO: We have many charities. NHL should do more or perhaps make its activities more visible. I think other sports do a better job of advertising for their involvement in the community. We have a guy like John Cena did a lot of charity work and new walk quickly in the media. I think the NHL would grow in popularity in the United States if it was more to this chapter. Speaking of charities, you are one of the official spokesmen of the Hospital. Hulk Hogan was a true gentleman with Maryse Montreal Children since 2006. How this association she started? MO: I met representatives of an event that took place at the Olympic Stadium. They approached me, asking me to get involved and that is that everything flows. It's a bit more complicated since I left Montreal, but I'm also involved with the Make-A-Wish through WWE. Linda McMahon, Vince's wife, campaigned to become Senator from Connecticut to Washington. We feel that you could also get your share of votes if you get into politics in Quebec ... MO: No thank you! The policy is not for me. I will leave that to Mrs. McMahon. You hold a brown belt in martial arts. How you're doing in the octagon against the UFC champion Georges St. Pierre? MO: Not very well. (Laughs) Never it will not happen. I work in the sports entertainment and I intend that this remains the case. What star of the fight were you most looking forward to meeting? MO: I remember my first encounter with Hulk Hogan in a hotel in Cleveland. My bags were heavy and he came to help me. He knew my name when I was quite reversed that. What do you think The Rock was cooking when he said: "If you smell What The Rock is cooking?" MO: (laughs) I have no idea, but I like the chocolate cake. Every time I hear him say his sentence, I imagine always in the kitchen trying to prepare myself. see Maryse in action on RAW every Monday night at 21 pm on The Score Television Network. Source.
